The multi-award winning University of Cumbria is a wonderful blend of old and new, founded on a rich educational history with institutions dating back more than 150 years.
Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.
We are seeking innovative, creative, high quality researchers, and scholars, who can also demonstrate industry experience/engagement to foster a culture of exploration, discovery and intellectual challenge that generates international recognition, respect and engagement.
The visitor economy subject group was established at our Ambleside campus in 2019 and growth in our area has created an opportunity to join the existing team as a lecturer, contributing to delivery, industry engagement and project supervision at both UG and PG level. This appointment would be ideally suited as a first lecturer post, either post PhD or with recent industry experience in hospitality management/tourism management.
