Business Administrator

Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Location: Carlisle. Travelling to other offices around Cumbria may be required.
Salary: £21,000 pro rata

My client is a reputable business in Cumbria and an exciting opportunity has arisen to begin a career with them as a Business Administrator. Experience with Sage and managing payroll is essential for this role.


  • Processing payroll and pensions for up to 60 full time staff
  • Processing payroll for seasonal staff and volunteer expenses
  • Processing sale invoices, petty cash and expenses
  • Banking and BACS payment
  • Reconciling purchase statements, bank and credit cards
  • Credit control
  • Analysing controllable costs, including utility suppliers and insurance provider
  • General administration duties
  • Supporting the HR department
  • Working closely with the management team and being a strong team player

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • AAT Qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge of Sage is essential
  • Good IT skills
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Great energy, confident, creative and flexible
  • Driving licence and own car is essential as you will be required to travel to different offices throughout the county
